Have Your Feedback Marked as Helpful
Reward: ✦ +3
When a poet or a Critic marks your feedback as Helpful, it means your advice made a real difference. This is one of the best ways to earn Tella.
Have Your Feedback Highlighted by a Guide
Reward: ✦ +2
Guides can highlight feedback that stands out for its quality, insight, or encouragement. If your feedback is highlighted, you'll earn Tella.
Be Credited After a Poet Revises Their Work
Reward: ✦ +2
Sometimes a poet revises their poem based on your suggestions. If they choose to credit your feedback, you'll earn Tella as recognition for helping improve their work.
What Does Tella Do?
Tella measures the trust you've built within the community.
As you earn more Tella, you can move through Inktella's community levels:
- Observer – Every member starts here.
- Guide – Trusted members who can highlight outstanding feedback.
- Critic – Highly trusted members who can mark feedback as Helpful, down-rank poor feedback, and help decide which poems appear in the Picks feed.
These levels are not about status. They exist to recognize members who consistently help others and to give them tools that strengthen the community.
Can You Lose Tella?
Yes.
Tella reflects your current reputation, so it can increase or decrease over time.
If many trusted Critics consistently find your feedback unhelpful and down-rank it, your Tella may drop. If it falls below the required level, you may move back to a lower community level.
No single Critic can make this happen on their own. Reputation changes are based on the collective actions of multiple Critics, helping keep the system fair.
Fair Use of Community Privileges
Every privilege on Inktella comes with responsibility.
Guides and Critics are expected to use their abilities fairly and in the best interests of the community. If privileges are abused, administrators can review the situation and take action to protect the fairness of the platform.
Reputation Is Earned Through Helping Others
The fastest way to earn Tella isn't by writing more poems—it's by helping other poets become better writers.
Give thoughtful feedback. Be respectful. Share useful ideas. Encourage others.
